Toy Therapy

I had the opportunity to visit Driscoll Children's Hospital to provide photographs for a story about its lending library of adapted toys. The hospital lends toys and games for children with disabilities so that they can play and learn despite the expense that the families would face if they were to buy the toys themselves.

Golfing Trophies

I was sent to cover a fundraiser for the Caller-Times. The pictures the paper wanted were of the posed, group-shot variety, but I was fortunate enough to find this honest emotion as well.

Stars and Stripes Parade

Covering the local Independence Day Parade for the Caller-Times was the breath of fresh air I needed. I have so missed making pictures and having a clear-cut reason to tell people why I am photographing them.

I was torn between the image above and the one below. I like the framing, the colors, and the patriotic feeling in the first, but I wonder if her action is as clear as the one below? (playing the piccolo) I'd hate to trade clarity and purpose for prettiness.

Probably the first time a horse smiled at me.
